About Skating

Artistic roller skating was recognised in the UK in the 1870’s, although the skate was invented in 1760.  The sport has similarities with Figure Skating.

Classes

The club currently operates from one venue and provides a variety of classes for different levels of skater and also general skating sessions open to all.

Momentum Artistic Roller Skating Club was formed in 2010, by a Coach and a Mom wanting to create an environment where children and adults can have fun,

whilst learning how to Skate safely. Its two founding members believe that we have the right balance of knowledge and enthusiasm to deliver whatever it is you

or your child wants to reap from Artistic Roller Skating.

In February 2011 the club was awarded Affiliation with the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating (FARS). Further information about FARS can be found within our website.

We are currently looking for new members to help this new club thrive and grow, and have class or a session that suit every skater from beginner, to advanced skater. The club focuses on the Free skating discipline of Artistic Roller Skating and we plan on having figure skating sessions in the future as we grow.
